Watson is the owner and principal storyteller at a+h. His credentials include over 30 years experience in strategic marketing communications, targeted brand development, web account management, digital media, and video production. Watson has spearheaded numerous B2B, retail, and non-profit marketing campaigns related to product introduction, prospects/lead engagement, and customer experience. His account management experience includes working with a wide variety of clients such as Tafel Motors, MINI of Louisville, Wilson & Muir Bank & Trust, Inoac Packaging Group, Louisville Paving & Construction, and Denier.
Prior to co-founding a+h, Watson began his storytelling career in the television news industry starting as a photojournalist and special projects producer for several years before advancing to the role of promotions director. He then received the opportunity of serving as the communications director for the National Center for Family Literacy.
Marketing Maven, Digital Marketing | Email Lauren
Lauren has an amazing passion for taking an interest in every individual she meets. Whether that person is a client at a+h or member of a non-profit board she serves on, Lauren is always prepared to use her marketing skills to assist others. Specializing in digital media solutions and content marketing services, Lauren has helped many businesses integrate social and digital media into their web marketing strategies. She also does a wonderful job explaining how content development is critical to the success of any campaign.
When she's not at the a+h office you can find Lauren actively involved in Louisville's community. She serves as a board member on Louisville Independent Business Alliance (LIBA) and The Forecastle Foundation. In addition, she volunteers with Hosparus Gala, GonzoFest Louisville, and other local festival and events.
Marketing Maverick, Creative Strategy | Email David
David has marketing, advertising, and social media experience with a variety of businesses both large and small. As a “Marketing Maverick”, David works to develop digital marketing, social media, and other creative strategies that are unique and tailored specifically to the clients needs. His previous work also includes graphic design, brand development, and event marketing.
Outside of the office, David is very active in the Louisville community, currently serving on the board of The Forecastle Foundation, Main Street Association, and Historic Homes Foundation while also being heavily involved with NuluFest and GonzoFest Louisville. His other passion is art, specifically license plate art where he has been featured in local publications and gallery shows.

Hunt leads new business development efforts and helps clients discover opportunities to reach new customers and increase revenue. Hunt brings a wealth of experience in automotive marketing and sports marketing. With a passion for developing long-lasting relationships, Hunt’s goal is to provide unique and creative marketing solutions with unparalleled customer service for decision makers who are committed to growing their business.
When outside of the office, Hunt can usually be found coaching his son Parker’s soccer team or giving him golf or lacrosse instructions -- starting em young! Hunt played lacrosse at St. Mary’s College of California and is avid fan of the game.
Deryl L. Sweeney II
Chief Engagement Officer, Bold New World Exploration | Email Deryl
Joining a+h in 2015, Deryl brings a wealth of business knowledge and expertise to our storytelling team. His primary focus is delivering innovative marketing solutions to clients and growing the digital side of the business. Deryl leverages over 10 years as an entrepreneur, where he developed a reputation for bringing new solutions to highly traditional industries. It was there he began putting his innovation chops to the test as he successfully brought a patented new product to market and built an e-commerce company that catered to high school and college students, as well as their parents. After selling his business in 2012 and moving to Indianapolis, he spent a year working with a consumer-focused innovation firm and another couple of years driving strategic innovation inside of Herff Jones, an educational giant recently sold for $1.5 billion.
Away from the office, Deryl cherishes the time he spends with his wife, Meredith, and his son, Samuel. He volunteers his time by serving on the board of the Kentucky/West Virginia chapter of the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, where he passionately fights to end CF forever.
Chief News Gatherer, Video Producer
Steve uses his extensive background in writing and producing outstanding videos to assist businesses in identifying and sharing their unique story in a way that is compelling and memorable. Steve retired from WAVE TV in 2011 after working nearly 37 years in broadcast journalism in Kentucky. He began his journalism career as a radio reporter at WVLK AM/FM in Lexington in 1972, where he also served three years as news director. After working for 2 years in Frankfort with the Kentucky Department of Public Information, he joined WAVE TV news as the West Kentucky Bureau reporter in 1978. In 1985, he was promoted to Assignment Editor and in 1997 he was named Assistant News Director. He serves on the board of the Louisville Pro Chapter of the Society of Professional Journalists, where he was President from 2009-2010.
Art Director, Graphic Designer
Tim has an impressive 25-year history of working on a wide variety of design projects including print advertising, logos, brochures, catalogues and websites. He also has a broad knowledge of Internet architecture, Internet marketing, customer relationship management and e-mail marketing. His experiences have given him the opportunity to work on accounts such as Brown-Forman, RCA, General Electric, Procter & Gamble, Brown & Williamson, and The Kroger Company. In addition Tim enjoys illustration work and has completed projects for Louisville Slugger, United Parcel Service, NASCAR and Coca-Cola.
Web & Graphic Designer, Programmer
With over 20 years of experience, Scot has achieved a successful history of working on a wide variety of web design and digital media development projects including website design, digital media and web platform development. He has very strong skills in "back-end" web-based app development, specializing in custom programming, database design, interface usability and systems integration. In addition, Scot enjoys photography and amateur astronomy.
